What is Tectonite?
Two materials combined in a tool (mould) and compressed using high pressure and temperature.
SMC
SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) is a generic name for a family of glassfiber reinforced (polyester) resins.
PiMC
It is called inMould coating because it is applied to the mould BEFORE molding. The polyester powder will crosslink with the polyester in the SMC.
The PiMC will determine the aspect of the final product as well as its properties like chemical resistance, stain resistance, etc.
